What's wrong with wanting a mate who is physically attractive AND has a good personality?

I understand that it can be difficult to find someone like that who will also want you back, and that you'll miss some people with great personality if you only date attractive people. However, some seem to believe that being attractive inherently lowers your personality. Can we please stop pretending like physical attractiveness has little importance in a relationship?
