Atheism doesn't provide evidence of why it is accurate and correct?

I read a decent article by a guy who had an ex-Christian blog who explained that the universe is like your neighbor's smashed windshield. The neighbor might accuse you of smashing the windshield and accuse God of creating the universe, but he needs evidence to make those things believable to people other than himself.
